When you the words “tropical prints,” most people think of a Summer maxi, or a bikini that you’d wear on a hot summer’s day. You saw them on the Etro, Marc Jacobs, Dsquared, and Hermes Spring runways. So tropical prints for Fall may just seem like the total unexpected Fashion Faux. British designer, Jonathan Saunders, decides to do yet that unexpected. In his Pre-Fall 2014 collection, Saunders pairs tropical must-have prints, similar to the ones seen on the Etro runways and carried in Lauren Ralph Lauren’s Resort collection, (available online at Ralph Lauren, Macy’s, or Bloomingdales); with anything from an olive tweed blazer, to a white blouse paired underneath an olive and pink striped oversize sweater. Most definately a perfect staple for those September and October days, when the summer heat may still be in the air, but you can most certainly feel that nice Fall crisp.
