Masculine and 1940s Elements at Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2014

After a Retro 1940s and Kramer vs Kramer inspired Spring collection this past September; for Pre-Fall Michael Kors keeps the vibe going, but in a more Masculine way. As trousers in khaki and tweed take the collection by storm. While trenches in checks and khaki in Menswear silhouettes polish off looks. For a more Masculine vibe. While bedazzled Wedgewood silk separates and a diamond brooch finish off every look for a more feminine, 1940s inspired vibe.

1940s Silhouettes Channeled at Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2014

Peplum. A Fur Shaw. Tweed. Delicate Diamonds and Pearls. And an instant Hourglass figure. For Pre-Fall, Zac Posen takes note from 1940s inspired sillohouettes. But as the 1940s may be key, rich hues of Oxblood, Navy, Red, and even pastels, and some Ruffles are used to give the collection a modern twist. And with Zac Posen’s Beautiful signature ball gowns, what could be better?

Alice Temperley Gives Classic Staples a Modern Twist

I have always admired Alice Temperley‘s work at her brand, Temperley London, the collections are always Feminine and Classy; yet so Fresh and Modern at the same time. Not to mention, her collections never dare to leave me unimpressed. Especially her latest Pre-Fall 2014 collection. Which gives your favorite Classic and Feminine staples, (think LBD, lace, and a Staple Trench), a more Fresh, Modern twist, (thinking on the lines of bold embellishment, leather, and 60s inspired staples such as: bright pink shifts, floral printed jumpsuits, and geometric shifts). But as these Classic and Modern staples are mixed, I can’t help but see a bit of the delicate 1940s inspired fashions, like: the long full skirt, a feather Shaw, and long and luxuriously delicate evening Gowns towards the end of the collection. Even making me think a little bit of Great Gatsby. Overall, giving off a very Modern, yet Classy and Dramatic vibe all wrapped up in one stunning collection.
