Alberta Ferretti Takes Inspiration From the Bird

Peacock feathers on a strapless evening gown. Birds embellishing a Cherry red sweater. A mural of birds in their natural habitat give any separte a Classic, yet sensual feel. Alberta Ferretti takes inspiration from none other than the bird. An inspiration that many designers had taken from during the Spring and Pre-Fall seasons, Ferretti gives this Springlike inspiration, more of a Fall twist. As the key hues of the collection were: a rich brown, olive, oxblood, pumpkin, cream, and the colors of the feather of a Peacock. While the Elegant fabric of tweed, gave the collection a that perfect feel of warmth, no fur nesscessary. In my opinion, the red tweed trench would perfectly give any Fall/Winter wardrobe a pop of color, outerwear wise, while any of the sheer lace gowns would make great for a sexy Spring feel, when suffering from Spring fever, and the feathered strapless dresses would leave everybody with their jaws on the ground, at any formal affair.

Walking on a Runway filled with Excitement and color; models storm down the runway in Spring plaids, Tropic prints, and of course Leopard. Almost looking like they’re going on a Beach vacation.

I love the use of Spring plaids, it really brings a more feminine and Ladylike vibe to any look. While the Tropical prints bring such a fun and Bold vibe.

l love how Cavalli mixed many different fabric patterns and textures, a trend seen a lot throughout Fall RTW and Haute Couture shows, and a lot throughout the Spring shows. Roberto Cavalli makes the Just Cavalli girl ready to take Fashion by Storm, this Summer, even while on the road!

Fendi Spring 2014

It’s 50 Shades of Pink and Blue at Fendi Spring 2014! As Karl Lagerfeld designs a Beautiful collection, using lots of sheer fabric, ruffles, and many different fabric styles. From tieing cute little bows, to structured ruffles, to tops layered over another top, and even over skirts. For a very Structured, free expression feel, seen at many of the Spring 2014 shows so far.

Towards the end of the collection, Lagerfeld incporates Geometric prints, very Fendi and bringing me lots of reminiscence to Fendi’s Spring 2009 and 2013 collection. Along with an array of Beautiful Sparkled Cocktail like dresses. A fur Fendi clutch for Fall 2014 Fashion Week? Yes please!
