Dolce & Gabbana Channel 1940s Inspired Sillouhettes for Spring

For Spring, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana take inspiration from Ancient Rome, while using 1940s inspired Silhouettes; while giving the collection it’s Glamorous Dolce & Gabbana magic.

Throughout the beginning of the collection, models are seen wearing Beautiful dresses, printed with images of Ancient Roman Ruins. Towards the middle of the collection though, it switches to Golden Cocktail dresses, many with the Ancient Roman coins printed on them. But besides the Ancient Roman theme scene throughout the collection, Dolce & Gabbana also include a more Feminine side to the collection with Beautiful Cherry Blossoms. Looking almost oeuvre, many models channel Beautiful Cherry Blossomed gowns. Perfect for a Spring or Summer wedding.

The silhouettes though, were very 1940s inspired. With Peplum, Lace, Polka Dots, The Fur, and the Iconic Hourglass figure. A style which has always been a favorite of mine. As seen at many of the Fall shows, many of the looks were belted at the waist, creating that very Ladylike Hourglass figure. Dolce & Gabbana interpret that trend, using Gold belts with a Roman coin in the center. Elements of Polka Dots and Fur were also seen throughout many parts of the collection, either paired with an Ancient Roman printed pencil skirt, and paired with an ancient coined full skirt. Each way, Oh-So-Chic and very Dolce & Gabbana.

And the finale, just STUNNING. Filled with an array of Golden Cocktail dresses. Each perfect for a night out, or even to a Wedding.

The collection, overall was extremely Feminine, Sexy, and Modern. I always love how Dolce & Gabbana take inspiration from something totally different each season, making it look Sexy and Flatter just about any Women’s figure. A Sexy Black Lace Dolce & Gabbana dress for Spring? Yes Please!!!!

Peter Dundas Channels Hip Hop with an Emilio Pucci Twist for Spring

image image image image

Emilio Pucci‘s Creative Director, Peter Dundas Channels something very New and Different for Spring: Hip Hop. Taking inspiration from Icons like Rihanna and Rita Ora, Dundas told Vogue Paris that he was inspired by Hip Hop, Masaï Prints, and Sportswear. Two of the elements, pretty much describing Rihanna’s wardrobe. The vibe of Hip Hop, mixed with the Masaï prints, I think is a Gorgeous and Unique combination. As Dundas pairs his Masaï printed ensembles with: leather shorts, edgy Hip Hop belts, and Black leather open-toed booties. Seen a lot throughout the beginning of the collection.

Towards the middle of the collection, models are sent out in very Rihanna and Rita Ora inspired ensembles. Like Sexy Black and Sequined cocktail dresses, seen on Julia Nobis (above to the right), and on Sasha Luss (below to the left). And the Tangerine jumpsuit seen on Katya Riabinkina, (above to the left), which really screams Rihanna. While the white knit evening gown seen on Julia Nobis, (below to the left), is definitely perfect dress for Rihanna to sport at the Grammy’s.

The Sexy Sparkled Jumpsuits and Evening Gowns, really scream Katy Perry, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Coco Rocha, and many others on the Red Carpet. They bring in such a Hip Hop, Punk vibe but still look Feminine at the same time. Newly-wed, Malgosia Bela closes this Stunning show. Then, Peter Dundas takes his bow, ending another Beautiful Emilio Pucci show. Definitely my favorite so far in Milan.
