Fuzziness Fury

“The show must go on!” The memo today at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, after like 3 billion feet of snow touched down at New York City last night. In honor of the most recent blizzards and chills, pretty much all across the East coast and in the Midwest, (Chicago is now colder than both the North Pole and Antarctica); Calvin Klein Creative Director, Francisco Costa, brings us with a capsule collection filled with all things fuzzy. As skirts and dresses become knitted. A trench coat and boots get embellished with calf skin. In shades of: black, white, and grey throughout the beginning of the collection. While the end mainly focuses on a more artistic like approach. Adding elements of tweed, and many rich and bright hues knitted together, very similar to that same artistic feel seen at Calvin Klein’s Spring collection, back in September. Fashion Blogger, Byran Boy may just be right when it comes to the best hue in the collection: a rich Olive. So whatever Winter chill may be on it’s way, for next Fall, at least Francisco Costa has provided us with the knits and tweeds to keep us perfectly warm, in a fuzziness fury.

Oscar de la Renta Inspired By his Travels for Pre-Fall

Oscar de la Renta may have not presented a Pre-Fall runway collection this season, but that doesn’t mean a number of models were caught posing in looks from the collection, as Bryan Boy watches yesterday’s presentation. De la Renta, himself, told Style.com, “I travel a lot,” adding, “in a chair.” As the collection was inspired by his travels. The vivid hues inspired by Japanese fashions. A parrot was embroidered on a full skirt. While delicate red and white roses were embroidered onto the evening gowns. And golden petals got plastered onto a traditional black trench.
