Gareth Pugh Spring 2014

image image image image

I’ve always been very fond of Gareth Pugh‘s ways of making his designs look bold, yet so Beautiful that you just HAVE to Have every piece. Pugh took on a very Lady Gaga like inspiration, but with a more ladylike spin. Using Sparkling fabrics of snakeskin and many Silver hues, Pugh gives his collection kind of an Out of this Galaxy like feel, but very Lady Gaga. The structured silhouettes of the Gowns really give the collection a nice, Chic statement. Who isn’t obsessed with that bold eye makeup?

The trench coats paired with the Sexy leather cocktail dresses, a must have of mine now, really give the collection a more Classy, and Ladylike feel. Reminding of a Classy woman walking down the streets of New York or Paris, but in an effort to make a Chic statement. While the fur headpieces bring a more Gaga feel, the long evening gowns paired with the fur really bring such a Ladylike, very Oscar de la Renta Fall 2013 feel. A Gareth Pugh leather trench and Cocktail dress pick-me-up in February? Yes please!

Missoni Spring 2014

Taking inspiration from Indian Sarongs, Volcano inspired prints, the Sea, Flowers, and even Japanese Pop Songs. Angela Missoni incorporated many colors and patterns into her collection. Making it very vibrant, and filled with tons of character.

And what would make a Missoni collection a Missoni collection without an endless number of Beautiful prints?

Blumarine Spring 2014

image image image image image image

Blumarine’s Creative Director, Anna Molinari stated that “A hidden garden on a summer night,” was that starting point for this Stunning very wearable Spring 2014 collection. With Kati Nescher kicking off the Stunning collection, with an array of Beautiful white lace dresses, with butterflies and flowers. The Blumarine is definitely ready for a summer wedding.

Halfway through the collection, things change up from white lace dresses, to silk dresses and suits, in bright hues of red and Daffodil. And then, black. There were many snakeskin and sparkled gowns. Including the Stunning ruffled Snakeskin printed short dress, paired with a black silk many buttoned jacket, that Maud Welzen sported. Which I instantly fell in love with.

N 21 Spring 2014

image image image image

For Spring, I just love how N 21‘s Creative Director, Alessandro Dell’Acqua mixed feminine and Classy elements, with many Casual, more Menswear like elements. Many of the ensembles throughout the collection are very Preppy tops paired with Sexy Sparkly and Lace pencil skirts. Definitely perfect Cocktail and Going Out attire.

Dell’Acqua also included many sleepwear elements in his collection, with many silk button-downs and dresses in shades of all kinds, and many Menswear Chic blouses paired with baggy shorts and Sexy pencil skirts. There is also a little bit of a Menswear vibe throughout this collection, with many Menswear like blouses and jackets. But the N 21 collection still has that such feminine and Romantic vibe, when paired with feminine styles of lace, ruffles, and silk. A Lace pencil skirt pick-me-up in February? Yes Please!

Dsquared Channels 50s Beach Glam for Spring 2014

image image image image

Dean and Dan Caten perfectly start Milan Fashion Week with an absolutely Stunning 50s Beach Glam feel. With the runway set, looking like an actual Smoothie stand in Hawaii, (complete with sand and palm trees). Models begin their way down the runway, in Beautiful 50s inspired swimsuits and ensembles in Bright and Exciting shades and patterns. Really making me wish that summer lasted year long.

The hair was curled, looking very 50s glam, and the makeup was left natural with a Stunning statement tangerine lip. While the models sport their Straw beach hats, and Bold sunglasses. Both on my must-have list for Spring.

Towards the middla of the collection, models Sport Beautiful tweed jackets paired with 50s inspired Bikinis and minidresses, Feathers, and Esther Heesch channels Audrey Hephurn.

The end of the collection comes with a Beautiful, fun array of Animal prints, very Safari and Beachy Chic, and a Glamourous finale of Sexy Sparkled and Lace minidresses. Most definitely the perfect way to start off Milan Fashion Week. Way to go Dean and Dan!
