Tadashi Shoji’s Pre-Fall 2014 Collection Will Surely Get You into the Holiday Spirit!

The Ottoman Empire as Tadashi Shoji‘s token of inspiration for the collection. Comes a palette of rich hues like: Emerald, Red, Cobalt Blue, Cream, and of course Black. The collection is composed of mainly lace dresses, (and of course some floor length gowns), which’ll look perfect for any Holiday party or gathering you’ll be attending. The red lace dress with a full skirt will look perfect when visiting family. While the strapless cream dress with black lace embriodered across the sides will look perfect for getting cocktails, or to a Black & White ball. And the Cobalt and Emerald dresses, with black lace embroidery will be perfect from a day at the office to a Holiday party. Making me wish that Cotillion had a Holiday Ball, so I could attend in one of Tadashi Shoji’s stunners.

Oscar de la Renta Inspired By his Travels for Pre-Fall

Oscar de la Renta may have not presented a Pre-Fall runway collection this season, but that doesn’t mean a number of models were caught posing in looks from the collection, as Bryan Boy watches yesterday’s presentation. De la Renta, himself, told Style.com, “I travel a lot,” adding, “in a chair.” As the collection was inspired by his travels. The vivid hues inspired by Japanese fashions. A parrot was embroidered on a full skirt. While delicate red and white roses were embroidered onto the evening gowns. And golden petals got plastered onto a traditional black trench.

Valentino Fall 2013 Haute Couture

This time for Haute Couture, Valentino creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, played with many Beautiful shades, and textures. Grazia Chiuri and Piccioli used a lot of Beautiful baroque, as always. Many of the dresses had golden embroidery on it. Neutrals were the key colors throughout the collection, using colors that go well with them as a Chic fun dose of color. There were many gowns in the beginning that were lace, with Beautiful gold embroidery. Besides lace as a key fabric, Grazia Chiuri and Piccioli also used tweed in a Chic beige/army green shade. Pairing it with lace, embroidery, or just simply as a Chic dress. Velvet was another key fabric in this collection. There were also many solid dresses in tweed, and in silk fabrics that were in Chic tan hues. In the end, models came prancing down the runway in sheer fabric dresses, with embroidery all over it, or a silk gown with in a solid hue, like red, (which was a fun shade used a lot), or in a really Beautiful pattern. All for another Gorgeous Valentino Haute Couture collection. This is the reason why I always look forward to seeing Valentino’s Ready to Wear and Haute Couture collections.
