We are going back in time! As the models happily danced down the Grease inspired runway, at by far the most major show this season.
Wearing ensembles of leather in the beginning, making me think Madonna in the 80s. To the lace and tulle ensembles, seen throughout the movie of Grease. Some of the models even sported the over-the-top super high 80s hairstyles. Thankfully no mullets involved. While the floral ensembles, channeled by Joan Smalls make me think a little bit of a 60s and 70s vibe. And the berets that Fei Fei Sun and Anais Pouliot channelled make me think the edgiest Parisian yet.
Although Gaultier gives such a fun Grease vibe, he adds a modern twist. Incorporating some playful touches using ruffles and peplum, elements seen throughout Spring fashion week. And the Metallic hues make me think 80s Flapper girl, but still just so Chic. I always love how Gaultier does something do different each season, taking inspiration from something yet so different each season, and making it into one of the best shows each season. Bravo, Jean!
Paired with many of the looks at Celine, Ladylike and Casual Fall 2013 collection, came a simple choker, with one Chic, colored pendant in the center. Giving the same look a Chic statement. The best part is, the choker looks … Continue reading →
For Spring, Jil Sander channels Simple and Chic ensembles, adding Playful accents. After her remarkable return to the brand just a year ago, Sander begins her collection with an array of Simple and Beautiful Monochrome ensembles. The pieces kind of remind me of the New England and Annapolis sailor style, with the Sperry like shoes, and the Sillohuettes of the designs. While the cutouts and the wedge on the sneakers, really give it that Playful, but still very simple twist.
Sander gives her collection that playful vibe with an array of dresses in Camoflage like prints, in Neutral and Crayola shades that almost look Oeuvre.
Sander ends her collection with very Simple and Conservative pieces, in Neutral hues. The Black sparkly cocktail dresses are perfect for going out, while the Well-tailored trench coats and Solid black and White dresses work perfectly for a day at the office.

For Spring, Roberto Cavalli took a more Glamorous route. With the set looking like a Sound stage in Hollywood, Cavalli uses Soft Metallics, Pastels, Sparkles, and of course Fur. Many models wear their Glamorous Cavalli Gown, with none other than a fur Shaw on their shoulder. Looking perfectly ready for a Night Out in Los Angeles, Roberto Cavalli style.

Ever since Marc Jacobs debuted his new Signature trend, Sleepwear at his Marc Jacobs Fall 2013 show back in February, as was everyone else, I have definitely been all over this new trend. Showing off his first Spring 2014 collection of the season, Jacobs begins his collection, showing off an array of Beautiful geometric prints in shades of: Black, Grey, Aqua, and Peach. Jacobs also showed off a Beautiful array of silk tops, jackets, and baggy pantre throughout his collection, incorporating his Now Signature Sleepwear trend into the collection.
Still keeping the sleepwear elements in tact; Jacobs designs many of his pieces with the perfect dose of Sparkle. From the Swedish teal Sparkled shift that Julia Nobis sported, to the black and white silk ensembles draped with many Sparkling stars.
