Tadashi Shoji’s Pre-Fall 2014 Collection Will Surely Get You into the Holiday Spirit!

The Ottoman Empire as Tadashi Shoji‘s token of inspiration for the collection. Comes a palette of rich hues like: Emerald, Red, Cobalt Blue, Cream, and of course Black. The collection is composed of mainly lace dresses, (and of course some floor length gowns), which’ll look perfect for any Holiday party or gathering you’ll be attending. The red lace dress with a full skirt will look perfect when visiting family. While the strapless cream dress with black lace embriodered across the sides will look perfect for getting cocktails, or to a Black & White ball. And the Cobalt and Emerald dresses, with black lace embroidery will be perfect from a day at the office to a Holiday party. Making me wish that Cotillion had a Holiday Ball, so I could attend in one of Tadashi Shoji’s stunners.

Alice Temperley Gives Classic Staples a Modern Twist

I have always admired Alice Temperley‘s work at her brand, Temperley London, the collections are always Feminine and Classy; yet so Fresh and Modern at the same time. Not to mention, her collections never dare to leave me unimpressed. Especially her latest Pre-Fall 2014 collection. Which gives your favorite Classic and Feminine staples, (think LBD, lace, and a Staple Trench), a more Fresh, Modern twist, (thinking on the lines of bold embellishment, leather, and 60s inspired staples such as: bright pink shifts, floral printed jumpsuits, and geometric shifts). But as these Classic and Modern staples are mixed, I can’t help but see a bit of the delicate 1940s inspired fashions, like: the long full skirt, a feather Shaw, and long and luxuriously delicate evening Gowns towards the end of the collection. Even making me think a little bit of Great Gatsby. Overall, giving off a very Modern, yet Classy and Dramatic vibe all wrapped up in one stunning collection.

Blumarine Spring 2014

image image image image image image

Blumarine’s Creative Director, Anna Molinari stated that “A hidden garden on a summer night,” was that starting point for this Stunning very wearable Spring 2014 collection. With Kati Nescher kicking off the Stunning collection, with an array of Beautiful white lace dresses, with butterflies and flowers. The Blumarine is definitely ready for a summer wedding.

Halfway through the collection, things change up from white lace dresses, to silk dresses and suits, in bright hues of red and Daffodil. And then, black. There were many snakeskin and sparkled gowns. Including the Stunning ruffled Snakeskin printed short dress, paired with a black silk many buttoned jacket, that Maud Welzen sported. Which I instantly fell in love with.

Jonathan Saunders Spring 2014

image image image image

The flowers are definitely in bloom here at Jonathan Saunders! As the Jonathan Saunders girl goes on a vacation this Spring. Using lots of tie-dye and Models Sporting round sunglasses, the collection really brings me reminscene of the 1960s. But the pastel hues, sheer and chiffon fabrics, and the silk really bring in such a Modern vibe to the collection.

Lots of designers have been mixing Casual elements with more Feminine and Dressy elements, and I love Saunders take on that trend. With models Sporting Sporty jackets and tees on the top, and ending Gracefully with a feminine tutu skirt. Definitely a perfect ending to the collection.

Beautiful sequined, and Geometric square-like prints come about towards the end of Herrera’s always Stunning collection. And asymmetrical stripes, in sequins on sheer fabrics definitely played a key role. Pastel and Neutral shades were definitely key throughout Herrera’s Stunning Spring collection, for a fun yet sophisticated and feminine vibe.
