Fuzziness Fury

“The show must go on!” The memo today at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, after like 3 billion feet of snow touched down at New York City last night. In honor of the most recent blizzards and chills, pretty much all across the East coast and in the Midwest, (Chicago is now colder than both the North Pole and Antarctica); Calvin Klein Creative Director, Francisco Costa, brings us with a capsule collection filled with all things fuzzy. As skirts and dresses become knitted. A trench coat and boots get embellished with calf skin. In shades of: black, white, and grey throughout the beginning of the collection. While the end mainly focuses on a more artistic like approach. Adding elements of tweed, and many rich and bright hues knitted together, very similar to that same artistic feel seen at Calvin Klein’s Spring collection, back in September. Fashion Blogger, Byran Boy may just be right when it comes to the best hue in the collection: a rich Olive. So whatever Winter chill may be on it’s way, for next Fall, at least Francisco Costa has provided us with the knits and tweeds to keep us perfectly warm, in a fuzziness fury.

Francisco Costa Mixes Luxe with Laid Back

Strapless gowns get a casual vibe when in a knit inspired fabric. And the trench coat gets a knit remake. While a fur ballet pink Trenchcoat makes you feel as if you’re curled up on the couch, even when at work or in the classroom. And Flapper inspired sequined shifts go under your staple knitted trench.
Today in New York City, Calvin Klein‘s Francisco Costa presented the Pre-Fall 2014 collection for the brand. Mixing luxe with laid back for an über Chic and effortless result.

Daks Spring 2014

The collection is extremely feminine and Classy, but Daks Creative Director, Filippo Scuffi gives the collection that perfect vibe for any Classy women going on a vacation. Scuffi begins his collection using Neutral shades, and Peach and in Classy silhouettes but with a more relaxed, vacationing twist. Aka Baggy Pants, and Casual tops made in a very fancy fabric, still giving it that Classy, not Sleepwear look. The accessories in the beginning are fun tan chain necklaces, and of course big matching sunglasses. Giving the clothing a perfect, fun, Chic, and polished statement.

Scuffi then designs an array of ensembles using one of my all-time favorites, the Daks signature plaid, and of course black. Scuffi uses more Classic accessories, like Black pointed to pumps and big black sunglasses, which’ll give instant polish to any look however casual it is. A perfect beginning to London Fashion Week.

Marking his 10th Anniversary at the brand, Francisco Costa begins his Stunning Calvin Klein collection, designing fun, well-tailored dresses and top/skirt ensembles in Nylon sheer fabrics, Tweed, and of course silk.

Towards the middle and end of the collection, Costa sends out models in tweed dress ensembles with fringe. Costa also designed many Beautiful dresses in the signature Cage fabric that was seen a lot back at Spring 2013 Fashion Week, and at Christopher Kane‘s Resort 2014 show. Snakeskin and Polka dotted prints, and fringe were also key elements seen a lot at New York Fashion Week, and towards the end of Costa’s 10th Anniversary collection at Calvin Klein.

Fall 2013 staples At Calvin Klein Resort 2014

image image image image image image

Today in New York City, Calvin Klein‘s Creative director, Francisco Costa presented a Chic Resort 2014 21 look collection today in New York City. Leaving us with only one message, “Fall trends can definately work for Spring,” as leather, velvet, and Emerald, all major Fall 2013 trends were seen at the show. Head to toe white was definately a show staple, with Cic white leather belts around the waist, and Emerald colored dresses, with velvet on the bottom. The exposed midriff is definately huge, as seen on many of the looks.  Every outfit was paired with Chic brown heels, that gave an insta summer vibe. Very Chic.

If you are going to try wearing Fall 2013 staples in your summer wardrobe, definately take advice from Francisco Costa as he designed his Resort 2014 collection. Like wearing leather in light shades like pastels or white, not black, and wearing velvet in a light n fabric with bright shades like Emerald or Blue, as seen at Calvin Klein.

Ashleigh Good, Ondria Hardin, and Sasha Luss show off some of my favorite looks from the Calvin Klein Resort 2014 collection.
