Oh how time has gone by! It seems like yesterday when the year 2012 has just started, and now November will be gone, and December would have arrived 2 weeks from now. And Vogue Japan officially released their January 2014 Cover! Starring a Vogue Japan favorite, Karlie Kloss.
On the Cover, Kloss brings out the asethic, seen in one of my favorite editorials, “The New School Uniform” which appeared back in the Vogue’s September 2013 issue. Wearing a PreppyRalph Lauren hat, monochrome striped sweater, a white blouse, black blazer, and a black scarf; each seen in the brand’s Fall 2013 collection. But what I’m thinking is isn’t the cover look kind of “last year” since this is a 2014 issue, not a 2013 issue?
That’s what many people are thinking about this new cover. As much as I love Karlie Kloss as a model, and although she stuns on her Vogue Japan covers, (this is her 4th Cover), I am a little bit tired of seeing Kloss appear on the cover of the magazine over and over again. And many people are to complain about the issue, as Japanese Supermodel, and Actress Tao Okamoto was the first Japanese women to score the cover of Vogue Japan, itself, after 3 years!!!!!!! Okamoto was on Vogue Japan’s October 2013 issue, Stunning in a Beautiful plaid Celine ensemble. As stunning and as unique as Okamoto’s cover look was, Kloss’ latest cover look for the magazine was not so Stunning. Hopefully Vogue Japan will get the memo soon.
I’ve always been very fond of Vogue Japan‘s editorials, and as I follow Vogue Japan favorite, Lindsey Wixson‘s Fashion Spot thread. I always enjoy to see the creativity, and the Beauty of the models and the clothing within the editorials. Making me really fall in love with Emma Summerton’s “The Anastasia Of Winter” starring Lindsey Wixson, in Vogue Japan’s December 2013 Issue. Which of whom, sports rosy cheeks, and twiggy lashes, and clothing with a very Russian feel to it. Reminding of the Matryoshka Doll, a famous wooden Russian Doll. Really capturing the Beauty of Wixson, and the clothing, with that Anastasia feel.
Supermodels, Caroline Brasch Nielson and Lindsey Wixson star in Vogue Japan‘s Latest Editoral, Speaking of Structure, featured in it’s September 2013 issue. Styled by Anna Dello Russo, Supermodel, Lindsey Wixson stars in three shots, before getting those ugly, shaggy bangs she now has, but looking gorgeous as she poses in very Neutral, dark colored looks from Bottega Veneta‘s Fall 2013 collection. While Caroline Brasch Nielson shows off the brighter colored looks, and the Crazy curls from Bottega Veneta’s Fall 2013 collection, in 4 of the shots. Each shot, photographer, Giampaolo Sgura shows the Beautiful structure of the clothing designed in Bottega Veneta’s Fall 2013 collection.
