Classic Staples Get an Artsy Vibe at Bottega Veneta

Like my good friend, Emma, there are many Music Peeps, while on the other hand I am more into art. As is Bottega Veneta‘s Creative director, Tomas Maier, who gave Classic wardrobe staples an Artistic twist for Pre-Fall; leaving me pretty much obsessed with every piece. As a trench coat is seen in a floral print. A black pencil skirt feels more artsy with a scribble on the side. A white crew neck gets black animal spots. Black pants and Cocktail dresses get baroqued. And a black leather trench turns Pink.

Givenchy Spring 2014

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Don’t text and drive! Was the public service announcement made at today’s Givenchy show, as there was a multiple car collision in the center of the catwalk.

With Kim & Kanye sitting front row, Givenchy’s show começou, with a Beautiful array of Evening gowns. Some in leather, others in a Neutral hue, and others, a Draped Dream. But what left me and everyone else speechless was the Beautiful array of Crystallized evening gowns, and those Masks???? According to Instagram, the Bedazzled faces was done by Iconic makeup artist, Pat McGrath. Which really added a suspense to the collection. What I’m begging for right now, though is that Sparkled evening gown, with those Sexy cutouts, which Julia Nobis sported. Speechless.

Peter Dundas Channels Hip Hop with an Emilio Pucci Twist for Spring

image image image image

Emilio Pucci‘s Creative Director, Peter Dundas Channels something very New and Different for Spring: Hip Hop. Taking inspiration from Icons like Rihanna and Rita Ora, Dundas told Vogue Paris that he was inspired by Hip Hop, Masaï Prints, and Sportswear. Two of the elements, pretty much describing Rihanna’s wardrobe. The vibe of Hip Hop, mixed with the Masaï prints, I think is a Gorgeous and Unique combination. As Dundas pairs his Masaï printed ensembles with: leather shorts, edgy Hip Hop belts, and Black leather open-toed booties. Seen a lot throughout the beginning of the collection.

Towards the middle of the collection, models are sent out in very Rihanna and Rita Ora inspired ensembles. Like Sexy Black and Sequined cocktail dresses, seen on Julia Nobis (above to the right), and on Sasha Luss (below to the left). And the Tangerine jumpsuit seen on Katya Riabinkina, (above to the left), which really screams Rihanna. While the white knit evening gown seen on Julia Nobis, (below to the left), is definitely perfect dress for Rihanna to sport at the Grammy’s.

The Sexy Sparkled Jumpsuits and Evening Gowns, really scream Katy Perry, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Coco Rocha, and many others on the Red Carpet. They bring in such a Hip Hop, Punk vibe but still look Feminine at the same time. Newly-wed, Malgosia Bela closes this Stunning show. Then, Peter Dundas takes his bow, ending another Beautiful Emilio Pucci show. Definitely my favorite so far in Milan.

Jil Sander Spring 2014

image image image image

For Spring, Jil Sander channels Simple and Chic ensembles, adding Playful accents. After her remarkable return to the brand just a year ago, Sander begins her collection with an array of Simple and Beautiful Monochrome ensembles. The pieces kind of remind me of the New England and Annapolis sailor style, with the Sperry like shoes, and the Sillohuettes of the designs. While the cutouts and the wedge on the sneakers, really give it that Playful, but still very simple twist.

Sander gives her collection that playful vibe with an array of dresses in Camoflage like prints, in Neutral and Crayola shades that almost look Oeuvre.

Sander ends her collection with very Simple and Conservative pieces, in Neutral hues. The Black sparkly cocktail dresses are perfect for going out, while the Well-tailored trench coats and Solid black and White dresses work perfectly for a day at the office.
