A Modern, Vintage Elegance

Shown at the Royal Institute of British Architects, with under 150 guests, Emilia Wickstead is definately one of the most exclusive shows of the season. Having dressed the likes of Kate Middleton, Wickstead takes inspiration from shows in 1940s Paris, having referred to detailed shots from Balenciaga’s archive, giving the look a feel that’s just, “so now.” As ankle length full skirts and dresses are just as key and obsessive as lace, peplum, and a basic Trenchcoat were. Now I won’t feel Amish if I ever wear my ankle length plaid skirt out and about, anytime soon.

Classy Is Getting a Bit Spunky

This morning, designer Eudon Choi gave my favorite Classy staples, a bit of a Spunky twist. When a navy tweed jumpsuit gets paired with an Emerald leather jacket. Black trench gets paired with knit red and daffodil leopard printed knit leggings. Moccasins get dyed a bright red. Grey tweed trousers get a funky twist with a leopard turtleneck and a Fendi bug big look alike. And a neutral dominated look gets red fringed pumps. Perfectly giving any girl with a style similar to Kate Middleton’s, (like moi), a bit of a boldly edge.

Pictures from Prince George’s Royal Christening

Pretty much everybody knows now that yesterday was Prince George, third heir to the Throne of England. Photographed by famous celebrity photographer Jason Bell. Prince George is all smiles, posing with family, proud parents William and Kate, and most famously with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and father Prince William, a photo taken with four generations of heirs to the throne, something that hasn’t happened since Queen Victoria’s day. Now couldn’t adore how precious little Prince George is?

Prince George’s Royal Christening

Today, October 23, 2013 marks a very important day in Royal Family History. It was the newest addition to the Royal Family, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, who was born back in July is now 3rd in line of succession, for the Throne ¬†of England’s Royal Christening Ceremony took place today at James Palace. The Beautiful new addition to the throne showed with his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, who stunned in an cream colored Alexander McQueen ruffled gown, and matching tweed hat. To match the new Prince’s Gown which was designed as a replica to Queen Victoria’s that was worn 170 years ago.

As William and Kate go a more modern route as a Royal Couple, the two hire celebrity photographer Jason Bell to photograph photos from the Christening. The photos, which will be released tomorrow will even feature the first photo of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince George all together. The first photo of for generations of heirs to the throne since Queen Victoria’s days. A photo I can’t wait to see.

One thing that William and Kate break tradition of, is using only Royals as the Godparents. Prince George is definitely a lucky boy, as his parents give him 7 Godparents in total. Including Zara Tindall, Princess Anne’s daughter, and the only Royal Godparent of the new Prince. Other Godparents include close friends of William and Kate, and their family. Including: College Friend Oliver Baker, Schoolmate of Kate’s Emilia Jardine-Paterson, William’s childhood friend William van Cutsem, The couple and Prince Harry‘s former Private Secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Princess Diana’s Good friend Julia Samuel, and the Duke of Westminster’s Son, Earl Grosvenor.

The after the Royal Christening, a small party will be held, with William and Kate serving the top tier of the their wedding cake. In which the couple froze, for this day. All I can say is Congrats to Prince George, and parents Prince William and Princess Kate, who looked happy and joyful at the Christening of their son. Not to mention, who isn’t obsessed with Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen frock?
