A British Remake

The feathered helmets that the guards at Buckingham Palace wear, become an accessory to any daytime look. Khaki pencil skirt gets fured. A military inspired trench becomes oversized. Equestrian boots get dip-dyed into rich hues, such as olive and Oxblood. A fur coat gets a print. While plaid gets mixed with textures such as metal and leather. Today in London, Daks Creative Director, Filippo Scuffi, has dared to impress me, yet again!!!!! This time, Scuffi gives Classicially British inspired staples, a modern and wearable twist; as fashion is as ready for the future as we all are. For an Ageless and modern, British Remake.

Mulberry Gives Classic Staples a Cute and Cozy Twist for Pre-Fall

As Iconic Creative Director, Emma Hill, (who by the way helped give the House of Mulberry a name), departed Mulberry. The first collection without the designer at the brand gave Classic staples a Cute and Cozy twist. The importance of outerwear was shown, as puffy coats get a trench inspired silhouette and are finished off with a cute little bow. The bow, itself, seen a lot throughout the collection, as the bow is also seen on Pea Green draping silk tops, paired with a Classic black suit or pencil skirt. And even giving a blouse in a horiziontally striped print, usually seen on your traditional menswear button-down, a cute and feminine twist. While a tan jumpsuit with paisleys embroidered all over it; makes me reminscene the days when Emma Hill reigned at Mulberry.
