Looks of the Week Wednesday, Straight from New York Fashion Week

At New York Fashion Week, models spend their days going from show to casting, to show, and then to fittings at night, they’re up pretty much 24/7. And while on the streets, the models get their photos taken pretty much every second. Here’s my favorite Streetstyle over the past few days at New York Fashion Week:

Derek Lam Spring 2014

The hair was left down or in a Natural, effortless ponytail, (depending on what look the model wore). The makeup was left very natural, and Beautiful with an Edgy zig-zag cat eye across the eye. Makeup Done by the Estée Lauder crew.

Derek Lam begins his collection, sending models down the runway in navy or black and white, not your tablecloth checkered printed ensembles. Some with a cloth tied around their head, for a very modern, Gypsy or African inspired look.

Models then come down the runway in Beautiful trench coats and shirts, paired over very feminine lace dresses, in your light, more pastel shades. Lam pairs the feminine and Girly ensembles with Gladiator sandals, very gypsy inspired. For an edge to the Sweet lace and pastels.

At the end of the show, Lam sends models down the runway in either black or white dresses, with the shoulders peeking through. Each with a Beautiful fringed neck scarf. The last few looks consisted of Beautiful monochromatic gowns, my favorite a strapless gown in the shade of Daffodil.

Giorgio Armani Prive’ Fall 2013 Haute Couture

Models: Mirte Maas, Esther Heesch, Sasha Luss, Fei Fei Sun, Juliana Schurig, Antonia Wesseloh, Ashleigh Good, Agne K., Erjona Ala, and Steffi Soade show off their Beautiful Giorgio Armani Fall 2013 Haute Couture Looks.

For Fall 2013 Haute Couture, Giorgio Armani took inspiration from China, designing a very ladylike collection, in neutral shades, with some Chinese clothing staples.
For his collection, Giorgio Armani used only neutral shades, beginning with many tailored and structured jackets, paired with full skirts. Both in a nude heel. And some of the models wore black feather Pom poms around their necks. Mirte Maas wears a Beautiful kimono jacket with matching baggy pants, both with a Chic lace print. Many other models also came out on the runway in similar jackets, and the baggy pant. Silk was definately a key fabric in the collection. Since 2013 is the year of the snake, snakeskin was seen.
Besides the Chic Chinese staples, lace was also key in many of the dresses and evening gowns. Armani designed many of his dresses in a sheer, chiffon like fabric. Especially in the evening gowns, all of them strapless, and many with lots and lots of glamorous ruffles. While others were coveted in sparkles and lace. And Sasha Luss even wore a fur Shaw with her nude dress, sooooo glamorous.
The models hair was perfect for the collection. It was curled and then put up into a Gorgeous bun, giving kind of a Chinese feel, the same style you’d put your hair with chopsticks in, and ladylike with the curls.

Models Mirte Maas, Tilda Lindstam, Maria Bradley, Shu Pei, and Alana Zimmer show off many of the Chic looks.

Iconic fashion designer, and Project Runway judge, Michael Kors is definately a fashion favorite. Today he presented his Resort 2014 collection in New York City showing off Flirty and Fun staples.

The collection showed off lots of Chic leopard print, a Fun classy favorite of mine. Khaki played a key role, as many baggy khaki pants and trench coats were seen. Lots of black and white was also seen, with many Chic suits and head to toe white looks. The googles form the Spring 2013 collection made a comeback, as the models showed off the Chic googles in white once again. Brights were also seen to give a fun twist to the mostly natural collection, for the perfect vacationing collection of the season. Wherever you go, you’ll always look Chic if your wearing Michael Kors Resort 2014.
