Vanessa Bruno Spring 2014

image image image image

I love Vanessa Bruno‘s show, it has that 90s Grunge feel with the plaid and the wedges, seen throughout all the Fall shows, but in a more Beautiful Spring like vibe. I see a bit of a nature like vibe, with the Butterfly prints on the dress. And the polka dots bring this very Cute and feminine vibe to the mix. But when all of these elements are mixed together, you have this just Beautiful, fun and vibrant collection. Leaving me Speechless.

Dolce & Gabbana Channel 1940s Inspired Sillouhettes for Spring

For Spring, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana take inspiration from Ancient Rome, while using 1940s inspired Silhouettes; while giving the collection it’s Glamorous Dolce & Gabbana magic.

Throughout the beginning of the collection, models are seen wearing Beautiful dresses, printed with images of Ancient Roman Ruins. Towards the middle of the collection though, it switches to Golden Cocktail dresses, many with the Ancient Roman coins printed on them. But besides the Ancient Roman theme scene throughout the collection, Dolce & Gabbana also include a more Feminine side to the collection with Beautiful Cherry Blossoms. Looking almost oeuvre, many models channel Beautiful Cherry Blossomed gowns. Perfect for a Spring or Summer wedding.

The silhouettes though, were very 1940s inspired. With Peplum, Lace, Polka Dots, The Fur, and the Iconic Hourglass figure. A style which has always been a favorite of mine. As seen at many of the Fall shows, many of the looks were belted at the waist, creating that very Ladylike Hourglass figure. Dolce & Gabbana interpret that trend, using Gold belts with a Roman coin in the center. Elements of Polka Dots and Fur were also seen throughout many parts of the collection, either paired with an Ancient Roman printed pencil skirt, and paired with an ancient coined full skirt. Each way, Oh-So-Chic and very Dolce & Gabbana.

And the finale, just STUNNING. Filled with an array of Golden Cocktail dresses. Each perfect for a night out, or even to a Wedding.

The collection, overall was extremely Feminine, Sexy, and Modern. I always love how Dolce & Gabbana take inspiration from something totally different each season, making it look Sexy and Flatter just about any Women’s figure. A Sexy Black Lace Dolce & Gabbana dress for Spring? Yes Please!!!!

All Things Sweet at Sportmax Spring 2014

image image image image

For Spring, Sportmax took a Sweet route with an array of polka dotted ensembles in: Black, White, and my favorite Ballet Pink. And the models all sported Beautiful opened toe pumps in shades of: Black, White, Emerald, and Ballet Pink with none other than a cotton ball on the top of the pump. A pair of shoe I dream of owning.

Many designers this season have been going more feminine, Romantic and Sweet routes this season, the polka dots at Sportmax, really bring a reminscene to Marc JacobsLouis Vuitton collaboration with Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama. That was all things polka dots.

Looks of the Week Wednesday – Recycling Clothing like Cara Delevingne

For this week’s Look of the Week, many people like recycle the clothes that they wear, and over the past few days, Supermodel Cara Delevingne has been recycling pieces from her wardrobe in her Streetstyle. While keeping her Chic, edgy punk style in place.

Last week, Cara Delevingne wore a Chic navy blue and emerald plaid matching jacket, and baggy pant. With a nice, white button-down blouse. And then yesterday, Delevingne wore a similar baggy plaid pant, with a black cardigan, grey tank, and her signature black sneakers seen throughout many of her Streetstyle looks this past week. And over the weekend at a V Festival, Delevingne wore the floral print and black and white polka dotted baggy pant seen in my recent blog post, “Cara Delevingne, Chic? Or Not Chic?” With the same grey tank and the same Chic black cardigan and sneakers. And from my blog post metioned up above, Delevingne wears the same Chic pants, shoes, and the matching floral print and black and white polka dotted top. Last week, Delevingne wore a grey tweed printed baggy pant, matching jacket, and a Chic silk pink and neon purple button-down blouse. With of course the black leather sneakers and a multicolored swirl cap. While this past Sunday, Delevingne wore the same grey tweed printed baggy pant, jacket, and shoes BUT instead with a Chic white tee. Recycling many of her Chic, wardrobe staples. Remember, don’t be afraid to recycle your wardrobe staples, many celebs and models do it too!
