Welcome to the Chanel Shopping Center

Welcome to the Chanel Shopping Center!!! Grab a cart, get your fresh groceries, and enjoy a Fall 2014 show!

After walking through an Art Museum, to joining the ranch in Dallas, we now enter the Chanel Shopping Center. The vibrant hues of the products, reflect off the clothing throughout the collection. As Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld plays with: Tweed, Metallics, Knits, Embellishments, and this season’s hottest new style: The Baggy Pant. While we get a little taste of the artistic elements from the Spring collection. When the bell rings, saying that the Shopping Centre is closed, you know a splendid show is over.

Always looking forward to the Chanel show at the end of Fashion Week, Lagerfeld has most definitely impressed me, yet again. And who can’t get enough of Lagerfeld’s muse, Cara Delevingne?

A Magical Garden feel arises in Mango’s Fall 2013 Lookbook, on Jackets, Shirts, and even jeans. Paired with cute prints of plaid and even Hip Hop inspired prints, oh-so-Rihanna and Emilio Pucci Spring 2014, paired with more Masculine accents. Denim paired with a chain belt and Houndstooth on a tweed jacket. The always Stunning Sigrid Agren definitely shows off the perfect, and more affordable looks for any style in Mango’s Fall 2013 Lookbook.

The Not So Pretty Side to Walking Victoria’s Secret

When you think of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, you think of models happily prancing down the Catwalk. Glowing, as the sport their Angel Wings as they walk by Rihanna as she’s singing on that exact Catwalk. Just a memorable event for all models in the show. And who hasn’t dreamed of possibly walking down the catwalk while your favorite singer is on that exact catwalk, singing your favorite song, on International television? And as the event nears. Here’s the Not-So-Glamorous side: The Castings.

Sophie Neophitou, Creative director, who rudely dismissed Kate Upton last year. Stating that she looked too much like a “footballer’s wife.” Told British Vogue about this horrible casting process.

Neophitou states that models, whether or not under a contract, are provisionally casted by John Pfeiffer. But whether or not the Model makes it in is determined by the whole Victoria’s Secret team. As they sit at a long table in a room with horrible lighting. The models are required to walk up and down the room, towards and away from the team, sitting at the table. Extremely nerve-racking for each Model. Even Adriana Lima, a favorite of the brand who has done for years!

But in the end, if the model makes it pass the Casting, they most definitely get the Most Honorable award, every model dreams of. Walking the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

Peter Dundas Channels Hip Hop with an Emilio Pucci Twist for Spring

Emilio Pucci‘s Creative Director, Peter Dundas Channels something very New and Different for Spring: Hip Hop. Taking inspiration from Icons like Rihanna and Rita Ora, Dundas told Vogue Paris that he was inspired by Hip Hop, Masaï Prints, and Sportswear. Two of the elements, pretty much describing Rihanna’s wardrobe. The vibe of Hip Hop, mixed with the Masaï prints, I think is a Gorgeous and Unique combination. As Dundas pairs his Masaï printed ensembles with: leather shorts, edgy Hip Hop belts, and Black leather open-toed booties. Seen a lot throughout the beginning of the collection.

Towards the middle of the collection, models are sent out in very Rihanna and Rita Ora inspired ensembles. Like Sexy Black and Sequined cocktail dresses, seen on Julia Nobis (above to the right), and on Sasha Luss (below to the left). And the Tangerine jumpsuit seen on Katya Riabinkina, (above to the left), which really screams Rihanna. While the white knit evening gown seen on Julia Nobis, (below to the left), is definitely perfect dress for Rihanna to sport at the Grammy’s.

The Sexy Sparkled Jumpsuits and Evening Gowns, really scream Katy Perry, Rihanna, Rita Ora, Coco Rocha, and many others on the Red Carpet. They bring in such a Hip Hop, Punk vibe but still look Feminine at the same time. Newly-wed, Malgosia Bela closes this Stunning show. Then, Peter Dundas takes his bow, ending another Beautiful Emilio Pucci show. Definitely my favorite so far in Milan.

From Left to Right and Top to Bottom: Rita Ora in Alexandre Vauthier, Erin Wasson in Alexandre Vauthier, Taylor Swift in Herve Leger by Max Azria, Lady Gaga in Prabal Gurung, Ariana Grande in Kenley Collins, Ellie Goulding, Darren Criss, One Direction, Shailene Woodley in Emilio Pucci, Gabrielle Union in Christian Dior, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus performance look, Joan Smalls in Viktor & Rolf, Selena Gomez in Atelier Versace, Ciara in Givenchy with Rapper Future,  and NSYNC‘s first performance in ten years.

From NSYNC’s first performance after ten years to Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift stunning in Navy hues, to Katy Perry and Garbrielle Union showing off fun prints, there are just so many great moments that happened at Last Night’s VMA’s.

My favorites Last Night were: Taylor Swift, Joan Smalls, Rita Ora, and Selena Gomez. Each of them showed off something that really fit their style and personality, and they each looked gorgeous. Taylor Swift wore a Stunning, plain and simple Navy Herve Leger gown. The dress had some Sexy sparkles and a v-neck at the bustier and the singer took the gown to the next level with Stunning earrings, and Beautiful ladylike curls. Supermodel Joan Smalls wore a white dress from Viktor & Rolf’s Fall 2013 collection. And I just love how Smalls puts the sleeves up a little, and pairs it with a Golden chain necklace and black knee high strap boots, really adding her own Chic, personal flair. And Rita Ora Stuns in Alexandre Vauthier’s Closing look from his Fall 2013 Haute Couture collection. In that Beautiful baby blue hue and the Sparkles and feathers contrast, the gown fits Rita’s personality perfectly. And Rita also debuted a shorter due, resembling Beyonce’s chopped locks a little. Selena Gomez showed off a Beautiful Navy gown from the Atelier Versace Fall 2013 collection, Gomez looks Stunning in this gown, it shows off the perfect amount of Sophistication with a little bit of a Sexy flair, and it’s perfectly age-appropriate for Gomez.

Other celebrities that I thought looked Great this evening as well was Miley Cyrus two fun looks on the Red Carpet, and in her performance. Katy Perry’s leopard Emanuel Ungaro dress, which I though fit her style and personality perfectly. Supermodels Coco Rocha and Erin Wasson really showed ofun such Punk and Edgy looks. With Coco showing off her new, edgy due for the first time on the Red Carpet in a leather bedazzled jacket, with a matching black tee, and leather pants. While Wasson shows off a black sheer fabric Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2013 Haute Couture dress, something that only models could really pull off. I also really admired the studded gown that Ellie Goulding showed off. And the rich, Oxblood hued tux that Darren Criss wore. Lady Gaga just really showed off a Stunning, unexpected Prabal Gurung gown in black leather, taking a more conservative route than her past looks, like the meat dress at the VMA’s. And I just adored Ariana Grande’s floral print Kenley Collins dress.
