Marc Jacobs Leaves a Stunning Mark at Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2014 show

Sadly, all good things have to come to an end. Even the days which Marc Jacobs took rein at Louis Vuitton. But after months of speculation, it is sadly true that Jacobs, and his partner Robert Duffy will sadly be leaving the House of Louis Vuitton. Fortunately leaving the house in good terms, Jacobs final collection was filled with all things black, but that doesn’t mean that the show today was dreary. Instead: today’s show was pretty much all things but dreary. It was dramatic.

As guests arrived at the show this morning, they were greeted by none other than French maids. Leading them into probably the most Iconic atmosphere for a show yet. Re-creating set design from the shows of the past 16 years. There were hotel corridors from last season’s show, a carousel from Jacobs’ Spring 2012 show, the escalator from the Spring 2013 show, the Iconic Louis Vuitton pole from the train at the Fall 2012 show, that Iconic elevator and the doorman from Jacobs Fall 2011 show, and don’t forget that Iconic water founton from the Fall 2010 show. Each rendered in black.

Jacobs’ most recent Muse, Edie Campbell opened the show in chains and handcuffs and sporting an Iconic black headress, which all the models sported. Reminding me a little bit of the headpiece Sarah Jessica Parker sported at the Punk themed Met Gala back in May. With Natasha Poly and Kate Upton amongst the few fellow Icons sitting pretty on the carousel. Jacobs takes inspiration from the many women who have touched over the past 16 years at Louis Vuitton. As we see hints of Coco Chanel, Miucca Prada, and Rei Kawabubo, and hints of some of his best Vuitton pieces. As the models were draped in feathers and crystals, this must be the most Iconic show ever to exist in Fashion History.

“To the Showgirl in all of us.”

The way Marc Jacobs signed off his program notes.

Diesel Black Gold Spring 2014

The Diesel Black Gold collection really reminds me of Versus Spring 2012 collection, due to the Beautiful pastel shades, whites, and the Chic sheer fabric Sporty inspiration. Even the Heels, with the many straps remind me of Versus heels, but they really give such an edgy vibe, signature to the Diesel brand itself. The many Sparkles and studs, seen on some of the pastel shaded dresses give such a Chic, edgy vibe seen throughout Diesel’s collection. The pastels I give it such a Versaitle and Spring vibe.

Shades of black and grey are incorporated into the collection, towards the end. Still keeping that Sparkle and Studs, for that Chic signature edgy vibe always at Diesel Black Gold.

Models Muad Welzen, Kremi, and Josephine show off the Chic 63 looks from the Valentino Resort 2014 Collection.

For Resort 2014, Valentino presented a 63 piece Resort 2014 collection that was fun, sophisticated, classy, ultra femininely, and of course, Chic.

The collection began showing off lots of denim, stripes, and cashmere sweaters with a white blouses tucked underneath. Tan, Red, White, Cream, Blue, Navy were all key colors. They wore golden and silver buttons on their jackets and dresses, and Chic Equestrain style boots in a Chocolate brown shade, paired with short dresses and skirts. Oh-So-Classy. Then, some pastel and white, draped dresses in a sheer fabric were paired with equestrian boots, and the signature Valentino studded bag, in the shade, Oxblood. Valentino also mixed in some camouflage in bright shades like neon green, pink, and emerald with a neutral shade of grey. With the Classy, cashmere sweater. And fur shaws in bright pinks and camouflage paired with a Chic white t and jeans. Adding a fun twist to a plain, Classy look. Then came the very feminine and flirty part, as models wore Beautiful strapless lace dresses in hues of neon green, Kelly green, and neon pink. And Beautiful summery and springy dresses in Gorgeous floral prints. Then came dresses, in solid hues of neon green, neon pink, and white. Very Monochromatic Chic. And last but not least, Valentino gowns in a style very Valentino Spring 2012 with the Beautiful baroque and sparkles in pastel hues of orange, peach, white, and pink. Very Feminine and Beautiful. Perfect for anybody super Classy, Feminine, and Fun.
