Last week’s Valentino Pre-Fall collection no doubt seemed to be our preview for today’s Haute Couture collection in Paris. As those butterfly embroidered gowns may have just been the inspiration. As Valentino’s Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli take us on an Imaginary journey to a Mystical Garden, far far away. With a butterfly embroidered cape. Feathers top off a tutu in rich hues of: Olive, Oxblood, and Nude. A Cheetah gets drawn onto a floor length evening gown. Fringe tops off an Asian inspired robe. While lace covers Neutral hued evening gowns. All apart of Valentino’s mystical journey. Bon Voyage!

Alexandre Vauthier Shows his Artsy Side

Today, in Paris, Alexandre Vauthier presents his long awaited Haute Couture collection. This time, the designer shows off his artsy side, mixing it with his Signautre Sensual and Edgy fashion. With a very vibrant color palette, short evening dresses get ruffled all over, an official must-have of mine now. A black sheer, flowing maxi gets a bedazzled belt. Oxblood strapless short dress gets Embrodiered in the style of a weaved belt. A halter maxi gets edgy cutouts and fringe. While a white romper like look, gets edgy with a Golden pointed choker.

Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2014: Everything Goes Decadent

Stripes. Fringe. The White Blouse. Staples seen throughout Ulyana Sergeenko’s Spring 2014 Haute Couture show. Where the Russian designer takes us on an imaginary journey through the former Soviet Union Southern Republics of: Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, Sergeenko, herself, had stated. Describing the colors of: Ruby, Emerald, Navy, and Pristine Petal, as key hues throughout the collection. In the collection, Sergeenko keeps her signature spin, having pretty much every look in a luxurious silk fabric, and many of the skirts and dresses in my favorite style: puffy. Besides the Princess like styles inspired by the Southern parts of the Soviet Union, I also notice some hints of the Flapper, with the Sparkling silver fringe flowing from a navy cocktail dress. While a striped robe will cover your most delicate evening gown, when you don’t want it to be seen. As everything goes decadent.
