For Pre-Fall, Donna Karan goes Elegant. Using Sportswear staples as the foundation. As knitted skirts and simple tees get the up factor when paired with Classic, yet Elegant staples; such as: The Trenchcoat, A Simple Blouse, The Pencil Skirt, A Collared Chiffon Dress, A Strapless Gown, and even my favorite, The Beret. When Supermodel comes to the mind, the first thing that comes to many people’s minds is how Flawless and Perfect they look, with their slim figures and Flawless looks. But that’s actually not the case, as even Supermodels have their … Continue reading →
A Classy Glam Goddess, is how I’d describe today’s Valentin Yudashkin collection. Using hues of: cobalt, gold, Emerald, and Daffodil. Valentin Yudashkin definitely has the perfect wardrobe for any women, from day to night. For a daytime feel, Yudashkin incorporated the slouch in his Bedazzled and silk suits, creating that Sexy sleepwear feel. So Chic for Spring. The paisley like prints definately created a contrast, paired with those almost pajama like silk pants. Silk dresses in shades of Coblast and Gold, really created a tea party like, and cocktail like feel. Especially with that instant hourglass shape created. But Yudashkin dared to leave everyone Speechless with his array of Glam Golden gowns, draped in Jewels and Feathers. That were almost Couture like. Definitely a Classy Glam Goddess.
Known for their breathtaking gowns, season after season, there’s no surprise that Valentino‘s Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccoli have left everyone Speechless. In their show notes, the show took inspiration from, “Imaginary Ethnic Groups,” as the collection took a more Queenly approach. There is also a little bit of a reminiscence to the costumes from the Game of Thrones.
I really loved though, the mix of neutral and pastel hues, with rich hues of Oxblood and Navy seen throughout the collection. And the mixture of textures, especially those suede shorts and capes paired with those chiffon bow tied tops. But the many prints seen throughout the collection, really gave a Conservative, Queen like vibe; and in fabrics of lace and silk, and many belted around the waist. It just looks so modern. Masterpiece, indeed.
