Viktor & Rolf Fall 2014

What I noticed at Vikor & Rolf was a lot of structure. As Creative Directors Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoren, give everyday staples a structural zass. When a trench becomes decked out in fringe. Black gemstones embellish a black & grey cardigan. A Classic LBD gets architectural pleats. White sheer pullover gets denim pockets. While a high-low hemlined knit tunic leaves a spectacular contrast, amongst a structured leather pencil skirt.

Viktor & Rolf Give the School Uniform a Punk Twist

“We don’t Need no Education,” playing through my head as I see the show. Viktor & Rolf take on a Punk spin to one of my favorite staples: The School Uniform.

The looks consisting of Preppy blazers, blouses, vests, and polos plastered with Saftey pins. Many pleated skirts in Neutral hues. And of course plaid. Kind of reminds me of when in Legally Blondes when the sisters put their own Girly flare to their n boring School Uniform. Except this time: A Punk Flare.

From Left to Right and Top to Bottom: Rita Ora in Alexandre Vauthier, Erin Wasson in Alexandre Vauthier, Taylor Swift in Herve Leger by Max Azria, Lady Gaga in Prabal Gurung, Ariana Grande in Kenley Collins, Ellie Goulding, Darren Criss, One Direction, Shailene Woodley in Emilio Pucci, Gabrielle Union in Christian Dior, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus performance look, Joan Smalls in Viktor & Rolf, Selena Gomez in Atelier Versace, Ciara in Givenchy with Rapper Future,  and NSYNC‘s first performance in ten years.

From NSYNC’s first performance after ten years to Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift stunning in Navy hues, to Katy Perry and Garbrielle Union showing off fun prints, there are just so many great moments that happened at Last Night’s VMA’s.

My favorites Last Night were: Taylor Swift, Joan Smalls, Rita Ora, and Selena Gomez. Each of them showed off something that really fit their style and personality, and they each looked gorgeous. Taylor Swift wore a Stunning, plain and simple Navy Herve Leger gown. The dress had some Sexy sparkles and a v-neck at the bustier and the singer took the gown to the next level with Stunning earrings, and Beautiful ladylike curls. Supermodel Joan Smalls wore a white dress from Viktor & Rolf’s Fall 2013 collection. And I just love how Smalls puts the sleeves up a little, and pairs it with a Golden chain necklace and black knee high strap boots, really adding her own Chic, personal flair. And Rita Ora Stuns in Alexandre Vauthier’s Closing look from his Fall 2013 Haute Couture collection. In that Beautiful baby blue hue and the Sparkles and feathers contrast, the gown fits Rita’s personality perfectly. And Rita also debuted a shorter due, resembling Beyonce’s chopped locks a little. Selena Gomez showed off a Beautiful Navy gown from the Atelier Versace Fall 2013 collection, Gomez looks Stunning in this gown, it shows off the perfect amount of Sophistication with a little bit of a Sexy flair, and it’s perfectly age-appropriate for Gomez.

Other celebrities that I thought looked Great this evening as well was Miley Cyrus two fun looks on the Red Carpet, and in her performance. Katy Perry’s leopard Emanuel Ungaro dress, which I though fit her style and personality perfectly. Supermodels Coco Rocha and Erin Wasson really showed ofun such Punk and Edgy looks. With Coco showing off her new, edgy due for the first time on the Red Carpet in a leather bedazzled jacket, with a matching black tee, and leather pants. While Wasson shows off a black sheer fabric Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2013 Haute Couture dress, something that only models could really pull off. I also really admired the studded gown that Ellie Goulding showed off. And the rich, Oxblood hued tux that Darren Criss wore. Lady Gaga just really showed off a Stunning, unexpected Prabal Gurung gown in black leather, taking a more conservative route than her past looks, like the meat dress at the VMA’s. And I just adored Ariana Grande’s floral print Kenley Collins dress.

The Best of Fall 2013 Haute Couture Fashion Week

Lindsey Wixson at Atelier Versace

From the Different cultures and continents inspired Dior collection to the Theatre stage at Chanel to Naomi Campbell opening and closing another Gorgeous and Sexy Atelier Versace show to Viktor & Rolf making their Haute Couture debut, it’s hard to choose just one favorite collection, or even look from this past week’s Fall 2013 Haute Couture Fashion Week. My favorite collection this Haute Couture season would definitely have to be Elie Saab. His collection brought me back so many great memories of the holidays, by the red, silver, gold, green, and Navy gowns. The Elie Saab Bride was just Gorgeous, with that long, gorgeous train and the three bridesmaids, was just Pure, Pure Beauty. Each of the looks he designed was just pure perfection, and I would definitely picture myself in every one of his designs from that collection. image<img src=”https://katiesrunwaysreport.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/image253.jpg?w=200″ alt=”image” width=”200″ height=”300″ imageclass=”alignnone size-medium wp-image-3792″ />

My favorite stage this season would definitely have to be the theatre set up at the Chanel show. I really love the theatre and watching plays, so I LOVE to see such a Creative theatre, including the theater’s design. I loved the stage too with the curtains and screen. A true theatre. Karl Lagerfeld always designs something different for Chanel each season, and I always really look forward to the exciting stage that goes along with the collection, that’s why Karl’s my favorite designer.

My favorite look this season would have to be a three way tie between, Lindsey Wixson‘s closing look at Alexandre Vauthier, Lindsey Wixson’s Sexy navy Sparkley jumpsuit at Atelier Versace, and Esther Heesch’s lace evening gown at Giorgio Armani Prive.’ All three looks were just Gorgeous, and something that I would definitely wear. imageimage

During Fall 2013 Haute Couture fashion week, I was in love with every collection, from Elie Saab to Chanel to Valentino to Dior to Ulyana Sergeenko, and much more.
