An Artistic Vibe at Chanel Spring 2014

The wait is finally over!!!!!!! Turning the Grand Palais into a Chanel Modern Art Gallery. Not only were the models gliding past paintings and sculptures, each referencing Chanel’s logo. But indeed, the clothing and makeup the models wore were masterpieces themselves. With the fabric of tweed as key. Lagerfeld focuses on a new trend: wearing two handbags at once. The collection was extremely feminine, yet very vibrant. I fell inlove with the artsy vibe seen throughout the collection, but that Classy Coco Chanel feel, showed off some elements signature to the House of Chanel for years. Definately to impress Coco Chanel, herself. And if you love bright, neon hues like me, this is definitely your Spring collection. Karl Lagerfeld is definitely the Genuis. Bravo!

Vanessa Bruno Spring 2014

image image image image

I love Vanessa Bruno‘s show, it has that 90s Grunge feel with the plaid and the wedges, seen throughout all the Fall shows, but in a more Beautiful Spring like vibe. I see a bit of a nature like vibe, with the Butterfly prints on the dress. And the polka dots bring this very Cute and feminine vibe to the mix. But when all of these elements are mixed together, you have this just Beautiful, fun and vibrant collection. Leaving me Speechless.

Carven Spring 2014

With an array of hyacinth camouflage prints at the beginning, Carven‘s Guillaume Henry uses Bright shades, mixing them with more conservative styles and silhouettes. The outcome: Just Stunning. The collection really brings more Excitement, in a season filled with anything but brights. The styles are just fun, Beautiful, and the silhouettes make the pieces even work appropriate. Making me want nothing another than brights for Spring.

Marni Spring 2014

For Spring, Marni’s Creative Director, Consuelo Castiglioni gives Ladylike and Minimalism elements a Chic Marni twist.

Castiglioni designs many shifts in Neutral hues, in styles of Trench, Ruffles, and Peplums. Bringing me reminscene to Jil Sander, the Queen of Minimalism’s Spring 2014 collection presented yesterday.

The Geometric prints and embellishments, seen at the end of Marni’s collection is really fun and Chic, and Oh-So-Marni. Many of the collections, throughout London and Milan have kept those elements of embellishment and the many ruffles. And paired with those visors? I am definitely ready for Summer!

Mixing Prints at MSGM Spring 2014

image image image image

MSGM’s Massimo Giorgetti goes a Fun and Bold route this season, by Mixing prints. Most people are afraid to mix prints in fear of looking too crazy. But how Giorgetti does it by mixing prints from the same color family. He uses more plain and Sophisticated prints in Neutral hues, and pairing them with more fun prints of Paisley and Flowers in Bright hues. You instantly look tasteful and Chic, and you also get the up factor of not being afraid to go Bold.

The prints that Giorgetti incorporated into his collection are perfect for walking down the streets of New York, or for a vacation. Extremely Versatile.
