A Flawless Variety, Indeed!

Raf Simons definitely doesn’t take the Pre-Fall season lightly, as fabrics and styles of all kinds were mixed and matched together; creating one lavishly Chic collection. Classic silhouettes, signature to the House of Dior and much of which Simons has been using ever since he took the regins at Dior, like the elegant trench coat, full skirt, peplum suit, and the shift, now get a more modern and futuristic touch. As the trench coat gets revamped in a very textured tweed like fabric in a Ballet Pink. The full skirt gets printed in Plaid, and pairs with a top in a similar print of Plaid. The peplum suit gets two-toned. While the shift gets an Artisitic and Futuristic twist, with painted flowers and sequins. And a Classic tailored suit gets finished off with a Graphic printed robe, making me wish that I could make a splash into a pool, overlooking the ocean in Vietnam. Making Christian Dior, one of the finest Fashion Houses, ready to conquer the future!!!! For a Flawless Variety, indeed!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eclectic + Ladylike = 1 Marni Pre-Fall Collection

When most people hear the words: Eclectic and Ladylike; most people think they are 2 totally different words, to describe a thing. But when, the boldness and variety, gets printed on Ladylike, 1940s silhouettes like at Marni’s Pre-Fall 2014 collection; the 2 words can perfectly be able to describe it. As the graphic prints, signature to the Marni brand get plastered on chiffon gowns. A striped fur shaw adds an extra pop to a red & pink futuristic inspired printed gown. Red plaid and checkered separates add an eclectic accent to a tweed suit. While a red peplum top, gets paired with a Cobalt below-the-knee length skirt, belted at the waist, and finished off with a black fur scarf and leopard printed pumps. Ladylike and Eclectic, indeed!!!!

Valentino’s Lastest Collection Is 1 Word: Eclectic

From baroque evening gowns, Native American printed jackets, to an Owl sweater dress, and flower petals draping on a black chiffon gown. Valentino Creative Directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli seem to be putting together many of their elements from collections over the past year with some elements, for a very fresh feel. As Chiuri and Piccioli will be presenting their Menswear collection for the House, tomorrow and the awaiting Haute Couture collection next week. They leave us Sparked with excitement on their upcoming collections. Especially when a black lace and sheer dress gets a ruffled sheer white collar, very Pre-Fall/Fall 2013 inspired. Beautiful Native American inspired prints, (one of my favorite Pre-Fall trends), get warmed up for Winter’s frost. My favorite Preppy staples of tweed, cashmere, and the Equestrian boot get vamped up with Tropical printed hairbands, oversized handbags, and moccasins. Fur gets an Artistic vamp. An olive cap serves more as a drape than a dress. Brightly gleaming Butterflies shimmer on a black chiffon evening gown. And Baroque and Lace evening gowns make me go back to July when Valentino’s Haute Couture collection hit the runways! Eclectic, indeed!!!!!
