Nicolas Ghesquière Makes his Debut at Louis Vuitton

After a season filled with many new beginnings, (Jeremy Scott makes his debut at Moschino, Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley at Marc by Marc Jacobs, and Nicolas Ghesquière today at Louis Vuitton), the newly named Creative Director at Louis Vuitton, honors the past, and looks to the future as, “today is a new day.” Written in the show notes. As we salute to the past, at Marc Jacobs 16 legendary years at the House, Ghesquière leaves us remembering those days with former Runway regulars, Freja Beha, (opening the show, scream!!!!!!! A big excitement for me, especially since the Danish beauty hasn’t made any appearance at Fashion Week since she wasn’t featured in Chanel’s Spring 2012 campaign), and Maggie Rizer. But as we look back at the days when Marc Jacobs took the reigns at Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière leaves excited and ready for what he has in store for us in the future at Louis Vuitton.

Valentino Fall 2014

For Fall, Valentino Creative Directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli get pretty creative. The prints reminding me of walking into a vibrantly hued Ikea store when I was 9. Bring back that creative arts and craftsy feel, in a more mature fashion. As Grazia Chiuri and Piccioli use their signature silhouettes of: Cape, Lace Dress, Trench, Full Skirt, A Delicately Cutout Neckline on a Dress, and a Baroque Haute Couture like Evening Gown. Giving the collection that Creative, artsy feel that I just love, with a very wearable and Classy twist.

Welcome to the Chanel Shopping Center

Welcome to the Chanel Shopping Center!!! Grab a cart, get your fresh groceries, and enjoy a Fall 2014 show!

After walking through an Art Museum, to joining the ranch in Dallas, we now enter the Chanel Shopping Center. The vibrant hues of the products, reflect off the clothing throughout the collection. As Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld plays with: Tweed, Metallics, Knits, Embellishments, and this season’s hottest new style: The Baggy Pant. While we get a little taste of the artistic elements from the Spring collection. When the bell rings, saying that the Shopping Centre is closed, you know a splendid show is over.

Always looking forward to the Chanel show at the end of Fashion Week, Lagerfeld has most definitely impressed me, yet again. And who can’t get enough of Lagerfeld’s muse, Cara Delevingne?

Getting Warm & Shimmery – Saint Laurent Fall 2014

Have you ever wondered what the outcome would be when metallic staples get mixed with Outerwear staples? Hours after Ellen Degeneres ordered pizza at Last Night’s Academy Awards, Saint Laurent Creative Director Hedi Slimane gives short and shimmery cocktail dresses a more bundled feel, as each gets layered underneath a Chic fur or leather jacket. Slimane perfectly demonstrates that even Outerwear can add instant polish to any Glitterific outfit.
