Karlie Kloss Covers Yet Another Vogue Japan Issue

Oh how time has gone by! It seems like yesterday when the year 2012 has just started, and now November will be gone, and December would have arrived 2 weeks from now. And Vogue Japan officially released their January 2014 Cover! Starring a Vogue Japan favorite, Karlie Kloss.
On the Cover, Kloss brings out the asethic, seen in one of my favorite editorials, “The New School Uniform” which appeared back in the Vogue’s September 2013 issue. Wearing a Preppy Ralph Lauren hat, monochrome striped sweater, a white blouse, black blazer, and a black scarf; each seen in the brand’s Fall 2013 collection. But what I’m thinking is isn’t the cover look kind of “last year” since this is a 2014 issue, not a 2013 issue?
That’s what many people are thinking about this new cover. As much as I love Karlie Kloss as a model, and although she stuns on her Vogue Japan covers, (this is her 4th Cover), I am a little bit tired of seeing Kloss appear on the cover of the magazine over and over again. And many people are to complain about the issue, as Japanese Supermodel, and Actress Tao Okamoto was the first Japanese women to score the cover of Vogue Japan, itself, after 3 years!!!!!!! Okamoto was on Vogue Japan’s October 2013 issue, Stunning in a Beautiful plaid Celine ensemble. As stunning and as unique as Okamoto’s cover look was, Kloss’ latest cover look for the magazine was not so Stunning. Hopefully Vogue Japan will get the memo soon.

Prince George’s Royal Christening

Today, October 23, 2013 marks a very important day in Royal Family History. It was the newest addition to the Royal Family, Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, who was born back in July is now 3rd in line of succession, for the Throne  of England’s Royal Christening Ceremony took place today at James Palace. The Beautiful new addition to the throne showed with his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, who stunned in an cream colored Alexander McQueen ruffled gown, and matching tweed hat. To match the new Prince’s Gown which was designed as a replica to Queen Victoria’s that was worn 170 years ago.

As William and Kate go a more modern route as a Royal Couple, the two hire celebrity photographer Jason Bell to photograph photos from the Christening. The photos, which will be released tomorrow will even feature the first photo of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince George all together. The first photo of for generations of heirs to the throne since Queen Victoria’s days. A photo I can’t wait to see.

One thing that William and Kate break tradition of, is using only Royals as the Godparents. Prince George is definitely a lucky boy, as his parents give him 7 Godparents in total. Including Zara Tindall, Princess Anne’s daughter, and the only Royal Godparent of the new Prince. Other Godparents include close friends of William and Kate, and their family. Including: College Friend Oliver Baker, Schoolmate of Kate’s Emilia Jardine-Paterson, William’s childhood friend William van Cutsem, The couple and Prince Harry‘s former Private Secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Princess Diana’s Good friend Julia Samuel, and the Duke of Westminster’s Son, Earl Grosvenor.

The after the Royal Christening, a small party will be held, with William and Kate serving the top tier of the their wedding cake. In which the couple froze, for this day. All I can say is Congrats to Prince George, and parents Prince William and Princess Kate, who looked happy and joyful at the Christening of their son. Not to mention, who isn’t obsessed with Kate Middleton’s Alexander McQueen frock?
