Diane Von Furenstenburg Spring 2014

Safari with Feminine accents is how I’d describe today’s Diane Von Furenstenburg show. Karen Elson opens the show in a Beautiful black top, with a polka dot full skirt, very feminine. Until models walk down in an array of Beautiful long, flowy gowns and dresses in animal prints, tangerine, and a golden shade of tweed. Each wearing Beautiful, safari like wedges.

Towards the middle of the collection, Von Furenstenburg sent models down the runway in monochromatic white and Cobalt blue jumpsuits and maxi dresses. Or wearing a Safari like lace dress like Liu Wen. (pictured above)

Towards the end of the collection, Golden accents were added to the Safari like pieces seen throughout Von Furenstenburg’s collection.

DKNY 25th Anniversary Spring 2014 show

Donna Karan kicks off her DKNY Spring 2014 25th Anniversary show, by giving all the guests some Karlie’s Kookies as they enjoy her fun and colorful show. Joan Smalls kicks off they show wearing denim overalls with a khaki jacket over it, for many more khaki and denim ensembles in the begging of the collection.

Fun bright and pastel shades start to come into the collection, with flowy monochrmatic dresses in tangerine and black, and then going into pastels. My favorite was the aqua gown with a Sexy slit flown the middle, in a Chic unique sheer fabric.

The hair & makeup look at DKNY was definitely one of my favorites: a slick, sporty ponytail, and a red lip.

Chanel Iman, Karlie Kloss, and Rita Ora close the show in evening gowns, or a fun, Spunky outfit.

Thakoon Spring 2014

image image image image

Thakoon’s Spring 2014 collection brings reminiscence to me of Coco and Lagerfeld‘s Chanel designs. With the thigh high lace leggings, lace, small shoulder bags, and silk dresses. Thakoon Panichgul‘s collection, definitely gives class and Feminity to the Thakoon girl this Spring. And as a big Chanel fan myself, I will definitely be getting many of Thakoon’s pieces for Spring.

Thakoon does add an edge to his Classy designs, with red leather Cocktail dresses, and a shiny silver fabric on some of the lace dresses.

Derek Lam Spring 2014

image image

The hair was left down or in a Natural, effortless ponytail, (depending on what look the model wore). The makeup was left very natural, and Beautiful with an Edgy zig-zag cat eye across the eye. Makeup Done by the Estée Lauder crew.

Derek Lam begins his collection, sending models down the runway in navy or black and white, not your tablecloth checkered printed ensembles. Some with a cloth tied around their head, for a very modern, Gypsy or African inspired look.

Models then come down the runway in Beautiful trench coats and shirts, paired over very feminine lace dresses, in your light, more pastel shades. Lam pairs the feminine and Girly ensembles with Gladiator sandals, very gypsy inspired. For an edge to the Sweet lace and pastels.

At the end of the show, Lam sends models down the runway in either black or white dresses, with the shoulders peeking through. Each with a Beautiful fringed neck scarf. The last few looks consisted of Beautiful monochromatic gowns, my favorite a strapless gown in the shade of Daffodil.
